Stepping Up 5K Race Day!!

Thank you to everyone for coming out and supporting our 1st Annual Stepping Up: Communities Against Violence 5K on Saturday, May 26th. It was a lot of fun and we are very appreciative of everyone who participated as a runner, volunteer, sponsor, or general supporter! We had great weather up until the crazy thunderstorm that hit right at the very end. But despite the rain, we had a great turn out. A big thank you to our band, Smokin' Id - they did a great job and we are thankful for their support.

Stepping Up: Communities Against Violence 5K

We are excited to announce our first annual Stepping Up: Communities Against Violence 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run! The event will be held on May 26, 2012 at Liberty Park. Mark your calendars because it is coming soon and you don't want to miss it! The Stepping Up 5K aims to to promote awareness and engage community members in our efforts to create an environment where domestic violence is not tolerated. This year we are partnering with the South Valley Sanctuary, a domestic violence shelter, and all proceeds will go to the shelter. We welcome runners, supporters and the public to participate. After the run, there will be a short awards ceremony and presentation, followed by lunch in the park for participants. Additional lunch tickets for friends and family can be purchased with registration. There will be live music and fabulous prize drawings. It will be a great event for the whole family!

If running isn't your thing, we'd love to have you involved as a volunteer! Join our team of amazing volunteers who will help us pull off an incredible race day.
