Public Day

We need your help & save the date!


SLADVC and UDVC are co-sponsoring a Public Day on
Domestic Violence
Tuesday, May 18, 2010
8:30 AM - 10:30 AM
Capitol Board Room, State Capitol

Coalition members, county council, city mayors, judges, police chiefs and other elected officials will be invited to attend a panel discussion on "Enhancing the Response to Domestic Violence in the Community and in the Criminal Justice System".

We are seeking volunteer victim advocates to participate on the panel. Any takers?
Any suggestions for a moderator?
Any suggestions for a representative from law enforcement?

Your feedback will be greatly appreciated!
A save the date flyer and agenda will be mailed as they come available.

  1. There was some question to the goals and objectives of Public Day. Because the post was from an anonymous writer, I do not feel it appropriate to post it here. I still feel like it is a valid question. The goal is to raise awareness, targeting elected officials, about domestic violence. We are inviting a broad array of panelists including someone from the DA's office, a victim advocate, shelter staff, a judge, a representative from law enforcement, and a treatment provider. If someone has more specific questions, I would be happy to address those - email me.
